At various plants, it has proven to be a good idea to install the blowers close to the aeration tanks and to cover or enclose them with a light protective structure. This was also implemented at the Warburg wastewater treatment plant.
The advantages are:
- The lightweight protective structure protects the mechanical and electrical equipment.
- At the same time, the fresh air can circulate freely.
- Complex and usually inadequately designed supply and exhaust air systems are then not required.
- The machines are very easily accessible
Of course, special attention must be paid to noise protection.
