The Ruttershausen pumping station is a central wastewater pumping station of the Lollar-Staufenberg special-purpose association. Our task was to replace the entire electrical equipment, including the low-voltage main distribution board. In addition, two of the three installed pumps were to be replaced.
Planning construction sequence for machine and EI&C technology in detail
During the commissioning of the new pumps, we were repeatedly told that such a smooth construction process had rarely been experienced before. This was of course no coincidence, but the result of detailed planning and intensive coordination during the preparation and implementation of the project.
Temporary solution and conversion of the pumping station
Firstly, the EI&C supplier was able to carry out preparatory work and install the new switchgear and all cable routes. Two pumps were then dismantled and the collection pipework prepared to accommodate the new pump technology. During the entire construction phase, one of the existing pumps remained operational at all times so that the wastewater could be continuously pumped away. The new pumps were ready for operation within just three and a half days.
