BITControl company outing on 12 and 13 September 2025
This year's two-day company outing took us to the Bonn/Königswinter region and offered a successful mix of technology, culture and nature.
On Friday, we started with a tour of the HOMA pump plant in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid. The factory tour gave us an insight into the development and production of modern pump technology. The automated production was impressive, as was the manufacture of customised products, which are still wound by hand to this day.
We then visited the Deutsches Museum Bonn, where we experienced an exciting guided tour on the topic of artificial intelligence. Illustrative examples and interactive stations encouraged discussion and showed how AI is learning and increasingly shaping our everyday lives.
The second day finally took us out into nature: a short hike took us up to the Drachenfels. There was plenty of opportunity for conversation on the way, and a marvellous view over the Rhine Valley awaited us at the end.
With many new impressions, good conversations and shared experiences, we can look back on a varied and successful company outing.
