PROVI ENERGY is an energy management and monitoring software that is based on the DWA-A 216 worksheet and specifically calculates the characteristic values, ideal and real values, potentials and reports required there and makes them available in the form of graphics and tables.
PROVI ENERGY is listed in Module 3: MSR, sensor technology and energy management software of the BAFA and is therefore eligible for funding under the "Federal Funding for Energy Efficiency" programme.
PROVI ENERGY provides data, characteristic values and potentials for an energy efficiency analysis in accordance with DWA-A 216 or for the potential analysis in accordance with the municipal guideline by linking to a control system.
Once optimisation and modernisation measures have been implemented, the results can be automatically generated and verified very quickly and easily. PROVI ENERGY is therefore also a tool for ensuring that once an efficient operating state has been achieved, it is maintained during operation.
PROVI ENERGY was originally designed for use in wastewater treatment plants and differs from other energy management software in a number of ways:
- The ongoing automatic calculation of the actual load
- The characteristic values automatically updated on this basis for selectable time periods
- The implementation of the ideal value calculation according to A 216, in particular the calculation of the oxygen demand based on DWA-A 131 (2016)
PROVI ENERGY is also used in biogas plants. The characteristic values are then adjusted accordingly.
The graphic shows the energy balance. The upper graphs show where the wastewater treatment plant in question or individual stages of the plant stand in comparison to other plants (specific energy consumption, DWA benchmarking). The lower part shows the ideal and real values of the energy consumption of individual treatment stages and thus the energy efficiency potential.
