Implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD)
At the beginning of the year, the MUEEF wrote to all operators of wastewater treatment plants - stating that a lot has been done in recent years and calling for a further reduction in phosphorus inputs. Approx. 80% of water bodies are still affected by p1 pollution (point source) or as upstream water bodies. Operators of wastewater treatment plants that discharge into these water bodies must take measures to reduce phosphorus inputs.
Two-point precipitation is recommended as a cost-effective method. At the same time, the operators of these systems must provide evidence of the Pges operating resource value in addition to the standard self-monitoring reports.
Reporting obligations - Pges annual mean value (operating mean value)
Compliance with an annual average Pges value (mean operating value) is required as a minimum target value for the installations concerned.
The average operating value is determined as follows for individual measurements:
- Calculation of individual loads (concentration * wastewater volume)
- Calculation of the mean value from the individual loads
- Extrapolation to the annual freight
- Operating resource value = annual load / total wastewater volume
For systems with continuous measurement, the annual load can be calculated from the daily loads.
Self-monitoring report RLP
The SGD provides an Excel template for the Pges resource value for uploading. This is part of the JSM report and can be downloaded from the SGD website. The measurements must be entered manually here.
Resource value report with AQUA REPORT
The Pges report can be generated automatically for all systems that work with AQUA REPORT. This saves the labour time required to transfer all the data from the reports and is less prone to errors.
